My favorite signs at the zoo today:
In front of a cheetah: "Dangerous animal. Stay on this side of the fence."
In front of a snake: "Reptiles eat whole rodents. You may see rabbits or mice in some cages today. The rodents have been humanely euthanized prior to being placed in the enclosure."
I may have the wording off just a little as I didn't have any note-taking materials with me at the zoo. Do I have to explain why I think these signs were ridiculous?

Really? Wow. Who cares if they kill the rabbits first. I mean I really wouldnt want to actually see a live one caught and eaten. But they could always feed them before opening time.
Really the stupid animal rights people should complain that the snakes get to catch live prey in the wild and so not only are they held in captivity behind the glass, they don't get the joy of their ancestors of catching live prey.
No, you don't have to explain. The sad thing is that the signs are necessary at all. Makes you wonder about people, eh?
Okay, I am the only softy in the whole bunch. I know they need to eat, but I don't want to watch the poor little animals they eat suffer. =/
