According to President Gordon B. Hinckley (and he's usually right about such things), "Christmas is more than trees and twinkling lights, more than toys and gifts and baubles of a hundred varieties. It is love. It is the love of the Son of God for all mankind. It reaches out beyond our power to comprehend. It is magnificent and beautiful."
If Christmas is love, how about some thoughts on love, then?
"Love is the most powerful force in the world" (Elder Dallin H. Oaks).
"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God" (Ephesians 3:17-19).
"In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins...We love him, because he first loved us" (1 John 4: 9-10, 19).
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13).
"By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another" (John 13:35).
The challenge this Christmas is to create love in our homes and in our hearts. I write this as I listen to my children yelling loudly at each other rather than get ready for bed, like they're supposed to be doing. It's going to be a mighty big challenge for our family. Good luck to us! And I hope your Christmas week is filled with the love of God.

I love you and your whole family Megan. Fantastic post.
Yeah, we had some moments today. Good reminders to seek love, however. Thanks!
