Vocabulary

Nathan has always been very verbal. As soon as he learned to talk, he could express himself very well. Unfortunately, a lot of his verbal skills fall under the "inappropriate" catagory. He gets that from his dad. :-)

Today, Nathan used some words I don't think are typical for a kid his age. Especially a kid that cannot sit still through his preschool lessons. He literally climbs the walls. I have a photo of that. Anyway, we passed by a big fountain without any water in it. The fountain is all broken. I think a normal kid would say, "Look. That's broken. It needs to be fixed." But Nathan said, "Look at that! That fountain got damaged. Someone needs to repair it." Later, he told Chris, "If I can't take my blankie in the store, I will run away and never return." (Not "never come back.") Chris said, "And where will you go?" Nathan promptly replied, "North Carolina."

He is very much a Woods.

A good vocabulary makes things so much more dramatic.
