Gratitude: Day #2

Today, for obvious reasons, I am grateful for the right to vote. I have always had this right and can't imagine life without it. I vote in peace and order.

My brother was serving in Iraq during their first free elections. He has a really incredible picture of some Iraqi men, with big smiles on their faces, holding up their thumbs (dyed in ink) to show they had voted. It's a happy picture. I'm glad I can take part in my own country's political process.

Oh my gosh. I was thinking the same thing when I went to vote. I just pulled up to the church (same as you) and parked where ever I wanted without fear of my car being bombed or me being shot. What a great country we live in. Thanks to our military for helping other countries enjoy the same luxury.
