(This one is for Saturday. I was busy with family and didn't feel like turning on a computer.)
I had a wonderful day with my brother and his family. My niece was baptized. It was so special for her. Being present at her baptism combined with conversations I had with my brother and his wife later in the day left me very grateful for my testimony. I am grateful God has blessed me with faith and an understanding (however small) of His love. It affects every aspect of how I view the world.
We live in a confusing world, where people are easily "tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine" (Ephesians 4:14). In comparison, a testimony of the Savior can help anyone build a solid foundation: "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall" (Helaman 5:12).
