Giving thanks...

I am grateful that the Lord hears and answers prayers. I believe that scriptures are the word of God, and that one of the key ways He answers our prayers is through the scriptures. I also believe that we have living prophets on the earth today who continue to teach us God's word.

There is a trial or adversity that has been difficult for me to deal with and has been weighing heavily on my mind and heart. Logically, I see no hope or way out of my trial. However, last night I read from the words of a living prophet a very specific answer to my prayers. The promise given was that as we have been faithful to the commandments, we can have confidence in what the future holds. "Whatever our circumstances may be, things will work out for the best. As we keep our promises, He will keep His" (President Eyring ).

This was a very specific response that spoke straight to my heart. I am grateful for a Father in Heaven who hears and answers prayers. I am grateful for scriptures and for the words of living prophets that speak to us in very clear words what the Lord would have us hear.
